Nice tool,I've made my own ones 40 years ago as a plasterer. Too bad I didn't know that I was sitting on an invention. Mine was 4 feet using a tapered aluminum slicker blade for the main base. I had one that was bendable for finishing rounded ceiling domes. Creativity is endless with the right tools. I am plasterer 1963😊

When using a trowel the more you use it the sharper it gets one slip with that 5in you'll get cut to the bone that's why hawks are used with a trowel also trowel are mainly used doing plaster or stucco

Try and keep the up swipe thinner, 2 inches. By the time you do 3 coats, it'll be sanded easier. I'm not saying that this is bad,but I've seen guys finish the screws like it was another joint or something. I'm a plasterer by trade, and I've always had a lot of different sticks. But,it's definitely nice to have these types that are very well made and work great. All the different sizes you need for every crooked wall or ceiling. 😆 I am plasterer 1963😊
